The Area

Soller Apartments are situated in the heart of the beautiful mountain town of Soller in the North West of Mallorca.

The whole area is incredibly beautiful and the Soller Valley is filled with orange and lemon groves, traditional Mallorcan towns with large squares and cafe bars, and there is the beautiful Port de Soller with a marina for yacht lovers and white sandy beaches which are safe for family bathing.

The Soller valley is a walkers paradise and we can arrange walking and mountain biking with Tramuntana Tours. But this area is also the ideal place to come to relax, sit back and take in the beauty of the area.

 Tram Port

Soller old town square is a bustling meeting place with numerous shops, bars, cafes, and restaurants. There is an indoor market daily and every Saturday the outdoor market dominates the streets offering local cheeses, olives, shoes, and handicrafts. The centre piece to the square is  by the church of Sant Bartomeu.  There is also the wonderful old San Francisco tram which connects Soller to Port Soller, and the beach, every 30 minutes.

Just behind the square is the train station with the wooden scenic train (the orange valley express) to take you through the mountains to Palma - or take the bus which only takes 30 minutes and drops you in the centre of the city.

PORT OF SOLLER

The port is a lovely horseshoe bay which has the actual port at one side and a gorgeous sandy beach at the other. There are wonderful cafes and restaurants that surround the bay and it is a perfect place to watch the sun set after a day walking in the mountains.

FORNALUTX

In some books this is reputed to be "the prettiest village in Spain" and it does have a lovely square, which sits under the church, and many streets of honey coloured stone houses to explore.  For a small village it has its fair share of restaurants - from typical Mallorquin which offer the most wonderful lamb, suckling pig and paella, to the more international.

BINIARAIX

The smaller cousin to Fornalutx, quieter, and some would say prettier !  This is the start of the Barranc, a lovely walking path which stretches all the way to the Cuber reservoir.

DEIA

Deia is a  village in the Tramuntana mountains of Mallorca which was made famous by the poet Robert Graves, and in later years by the stars who live and holiday in the hills around the village.  Approached by the most spectacular views along the mountain road, Deia is made up of a main street of small unique shops and first class restaurants. Houses scramble up the mountainside towards the church which commands the best views in the village.  The mountains and sea offer wonderful walking, including a path that follows the beautiful coastline or over the mountain all the way to Soller.

VALLDEMOSSA

Valldemossa is a picturesque mountain village where it is possible to get lost around its sleepy streets, visit the small unique shops, see the monastery where Chopin once stayed and generally soak up the atmosphere.
